The Polish Museum stays in Rapperswil!

“The Polish Museum will remain in Rapperswil. Swiss branch of the Institute of Solidarity and Valor of Witold Pilecki will also be established. The joint headquarters will be located in the Schwanen complex in Rapperswil, which has just been purchased by the Polish state.” informed the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Prof. Piotr Gliński.

It is with great pleasure that we would like to inform all our Friends that today a new history of the Polish Museum in Rapperswil has been written.

At Hotel Schwanen, a place so important for the history of the Museum in Rapperswil, we hosted the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, prof. Piotr Gliński, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Bern Iwona Kozłowska, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland Patric Franzen and Deputy Director of the Pilecki Institute Wojciech Kozłowski. The Polish Museum in Rapperswil was represented by director Anna Buchmann.

During this ceremony, in the new home of the Polish Museum, a letter of intent was signed regarding the intention to create a new cultural institution – the Polish Museum in Rapperswil.
