The exhibition will be closed for the Easter break from April 16 to April 27, 2025.

New exhibition at the Polish Museum in Rapperswil.

Spuren/Ślady. Das polnische Beisein in der Schweiz

The exhibition is presented in the “Burghof” townhouse (below the castle) at Hauptplatz 8 in Rapperswil, which houses the Library and Archives of the Polish Museum.

Opening hours: daily from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM

The vernissage was held on January 26, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Knights’ Hall at Rapperswil Castle. As part of the event, a concert by distinguished artists – Suguru Ito (piano) and Marek Dumicz (violin) – took place immediately after the official opening ceremony.

Curated by the young architect Marcin Jachimczyk, the exhibition lead us through various regions of Switzerland, revealing the Polish contribution and presence in the Swiss historical context.

We will learn about the history and accomplishments of Polish émigré architects, engineers, and artists who have left lasting marks on the Swiss cultural landscape. Familiar names, such as Antoni Patek, will be featured, alongside many less well-known but equally intriguing figures and their works.
